Kalinga Dash raises $66,000 for Eagle Junction State School

On August 13, over 1,000 participants gathered at Kalinga Park in Clayfield for the 2nd Annual Kalinga Dash. Australian Uniform Service is a proud sponsor of this event, which serves as a fundraiser for nearby Eagle Junction State School.
This year’s Kalinga Dash was a tremendous success, raising over $66,000 — nearly half of that coming from the kids themselves, who enlist family members, neighbours, and friends to sponsor in them in the race. It truly is a community event, featuring a number of food stalls, side shows and fairground rides. This year, we were pleased to have local State Member of Parliament and Leader of the Opposition Tim Nicholls and local Council Member David McLachlan in attendance.
Events like these are a wonderful opportunity for Australian Uniform Service to give back to the community, and we can’t wait until next year’s race. Here are a few photos we took at the event:
About Eagle Junction State School
Eagle Junction State School opened in 1895 and currently caters for students from the preparatory year to year 6 with a population of around 840 students. Eagle Junction has a proud history, strong community and is committed to the highest standard of education for all students. The school’s mission is for students to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable each one to take confidently and competently a place in society both in the present and in the future.
